Holidays, a time to glow on the roads!

05 November 2013

Dear parents,

As the November holiday approaches, with each passing day the roads are becoming more and more dangerous. It is getting dark earlier and we are starting to see ice on the roads, which increases the stopping distance. More accidents happen at this time, including accidents involving children. During the holiday, children will be spending a lot of time outside and returning home when it is already dark. Make sure that your young pedestrians have reflective badges and wristbands to make them more visible on the road.

Remind your children how to behave when they are close to a road. Set your children a good example, and go over various situations that could arise on the road.

Road Safety Russia asks that the media, NGOs and indeed everyone who cares about this issue spread the word about the importance of wearing reflective elements when it is dark outside, so that not a single child falls under the wheels of a car these holidays. Grown-ups, protect children!
